Peace Will Come

Peace Will Come

May this song bring you comfort in your grieving and healing journey

Peace Will Come – LYRICS

At the break of Dawn
Peace will come, peace will come
As the day unfolds, the world goes on, we carry on
When the night falls we grieve and mourn
At the break of Dawn
Peace will come, peace will come

Let us be gentle with ourselves and each other as we grieve. It’s part of life that we can’t avoid or control. We need to create a safe place of non-judgement to allow for grieving losses of all kinds.

As hard as it is, there can be wisdom in the parts that break. When we learn something from the tragedies in our life, it promotes resilience and post traumatic GROWTH.

I wrote ‘Peace Will Come” for a friend and realized that it’s a that song I need myself… so another mindful tool was created.

I use it the following ways:

1/ listen on repeat and breathe through the grief to self-soothe
2/ sing it out-loud, repeating as many times as it feels good. Sing out! Give myself permission to wail if Ii’m moved to….. and feel the vibration resonate through my body. Sing it as a whisper when I don’t feel the strength.
3/ Sing it inside my head…. and let it be a comforting sound track to my day that comes and goes. Or sing it in my head when I need a tool, but don’t want to be overheard.
