Fall 2012 has been a busy time with Yukon Women In Music. We will be releasing our 4th compilation CD Saturday November 24th at the Yukon Art Centre. I am very thankful to have been selected by an Outside jury to be on the compilation CD among 13 other fabulous artists. I am the only artist to have a song on all four YWIM compilation albums. Kate Weekes and I were hired to be project managers for this CD project and I also took the role of project manager for YWIM Yukon community tour. Â I participated in 6 of the 12 community concerts. It was really rewarding to travel in a van with some fabulous, interesting women to rural communities to entertain and to work with students in the schools. We met some very nice folks. Thank you!

Also on November 24th, I will be releasing two digital singles. I still have something is the song that was accepted for the YWIM CD. I wrote this song when I was very sick with lots of time for reflection. I figured that if I was going into the studio to record one song, I may as well record 2 songs. So the 2nd single is called: I already told you. They are both spunky rocker songs. It was a blast to let out my inner rocker once again! I hope you will check them out on cdbaby.com or wherever you buy music digitally (itunes or etc.)

I had some fun house concerts in Ontario in the spring with my old friend R.W. Haller. I love the intimacy of house concerts. Thank you very much to our hosts and those of you who came out! Summer is my favorite time in North. I love the long days and my garden time¦ As well as fun festivals and gigs in the Yukon and Alaska. Thanks to the Skagway AK Arts Council and to Leslie Ross and the Klondyke in Haines, AK for hosting Annie Avery & I. We love our Alaskan neighbours!
