Singing through an illness

Singing through an illness

Please check out my new videos!

I really wanted to film in my back yard with garden and wild fireweed….. because it’s my “happy place”. There was some crazy suspense that day because what started out to be a nice day turned to pouring rain and hail! I thought I’d have to cancel! But magically, the sun came back out and by the time we were shooting it was warm & sunny. The most magical moment was when I got a visit from a DRAGONFLY captured in the video.

One video features clips of a few of my songs relating to living with a chronic illness and some interview. The other one is a live version of my song “What if” accompanied by Roxx Hunter. It’s a song I wrote to help me work through the process of acceptance. I love that my beautiful back yard is featured. Jessica Hall did a great job producing.

The video was created to be screened at the 2013 national Scleroderma Congress in Hamilton, Ontario September 27th-29th. I hope to reach out to and connect with other people living with a chronic illness.

I’m thankful for the support from the Yukon Film & Sound Commission through their Enterprise Trade Fund.
